Katherine Heigl
Katherine Heigl’s modeling career began with a national ad for Cheerios. She started modeling at nine years old when her aunt sent her pictures to Wilhelmina Models. She then appeared in magazine ads, TV commercials, and Sears and Lord & Taylor catalogs. While attending high school, Heigl sometimes had to skip up to three months of school in order to shoot films, but she tried to balance her movie and modeling work by making it up on holidays and weekends when possible.
Heigl made her big-screen debut in the early 1990s when she starred in King of the Hill and television movies, such as Wish Upon a Star. She had a bustling 2000s, as she was cast as Dr. Isobel Stevens on the hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. She earned a new degree of fame during this show, which led to more opportunities on the silver screen.
