At this point, many of us have probably heard of at least one song sung by John Legend. Plus, it’s safe to assume that the title of that song is All of Me, the chart-topping single from his 2013 album, Love in the Future.

Even before becoming the successful multi-award-winning artist he is today, John was already making quite a name for himself among his colleagues. During the earlier years of his career, John had the chance to collaborate with big-name figures like Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Alicia Keys. Many fans don’t know, though, that his musical talents were already quite apparent during his years in school. Along with being a very knowledgeable student, graduating college as a magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English, this Voice coach also spent his college years as the musical director of a cappella group known as the Counterparts.
