The art of acting and performing on stage or a film set is undoubtedly an exciting profession to take. Well, Taraji P. Henson thought so, too. For her university years, Henson initially went to North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University, hoping to major in electrical engineering, before ultimately transferring to Howard University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drama, Henson began her journey into the spotlight.
Starting her career in the 1990s, Henson’s film debut was the 1998 flick Streetwise. Not long after, the actress got her first shot to fame thanks to her 2001 movie Baby Boy performance. Well, from that point onward, Henson has had the chance to work on one hit project after another. Since then, the Karate Kid actress has starred in notable titles such as Boston Legal, Person of Interest, Empire, and of course, Hidden Figures.
