Lupita Nyong’o | Master Of Fine Arts

For her passion for acting, a good portion of the credit would undoubtedly go to Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg, and Ralph Fiennes stars she considers her idols. At age 14, Lupita Nyong’o found her way to the stage and landed her professional acting debut with a role in Romeo and Juliet. She portrayed the latter.

With her love for the arts never showing any signs of stopping, it’s no surprise the aspiring actress eventually finished her studies with a Master of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama. Lupita’s first stints were mostly for behind-the-scenes work as a production assistant for her start in the entertainment industry. By 2008, she got her on-screen debut with a role in that year’s short film East River. Since then, Lupita’s fame continues to rise to even greater heights, thanks to her performance in subsequent projects like 12 Years a Slave, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Black Panther, and Us.
