Meryl Streep | Master of Fine Arts

Often described as the best actress in her generation, Meryl Streep is mainly known for her acting versatility. She made her stage debut in Trelawny of the Wells. Later on, she was credited with a Tony Award nomination for her performances in A Memory of Two Mondays and 27 Wagons Full of Cotton in 1976. The following year, Meryl made her film debut in the American period drama film Julia. In 1978, the actress won a Primetime Emmy Award with a leading role in the television miniseries Holocaust. In years to come, Meryl’s career continued to flourish, starring in multiple films and television shows.

Meryl attended Oak Street School in high school and later went to Vassar College and graduated with a degree in drama and costume design in 1971. She furthered her studies at Yale University, where she received her master’s degree in acting.
