Widely known for his performance in the television series Parks and Recreation as Tom Haverford on NBC network, Aziz Ansari began performing comedy while studying at New York University in 2000. He later co-created and starred in the comedy sketch show Human Giant on MTV. As a stand-up comedian, Ansari made his first comedy special on Comedy Central Records in 2010, Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening. In the following years, he created and starred in the television series Master of None on Netflix since 2015. He was credited with two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award, becoming the first Asian American actor to receive such honors for acting on television. Ansari was included in Time’s 100 Most Influential People list in 2016.
In 2004, the comedian-actor graduated from the Stern School of Business of New York University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
