Rashida Jones | Religion and Philosophy
Best recognized for her roles in the quirky television comedies Parks and Recreation and The Office, Rashida Jones made her professional acting debut in the miniseries and subsequently starred in East of A, Myth America, and If These Walls Could Talk 2. In 2000, she landed a role in the drama series Boston Public, in which she appeared for twenty-six episodes. Jones went on starring in several television shows, including Death of a Dynasty, Little Black Book, Stella, Wanted, and Chapelle’s Show, to name a few.
Before she was offered the part in the television sitcom The Office, Jones considered leaving the entertainment industry to pursue a graduate degreein public policy. Jones did push through with her pursuit of education and graduated from Harvard University in 1997 with a degree in religion and philosophy. She joined the ensemble in 2006 and played the role of Karen Filippelli eventually.
