Rowan Atkinson | Electrical Engineering

Society wouldn’t probably be this efficient if it wasn’t for the engineers such as Thomas Edison or Alexander Graham Bell, who have taken large strides for society. However, history has also been graced with engineers who have contributed another way. Most notable is actor and comedian Rowan Atkinson.

His early days in show business started on both sides of the screen in Not the Nine O’Clock News, where he acted and wrote for the show simultaneously. In 1990, while taking up his Master’s degree in Oxford, Atkinson created Mr. Bean, who he believes to be, a child trapped in a man’s body. He eventually starred as Mr. Bean when it was developed as a TV series. It was successful that seven years after its release, the series was adapted into a film.
