Gerard Butler | Law
Gerard Butler is most renowned for playing King Leonidas of Sparta in the movie 300. As a teenager, the 300 actors loved theater and film, but he was too anxious that acting might not be the most realistic career. In recognizing this, Butler enrolled in the University of Glasgow to study law. He was an outstanding student who became president of the law society and was credited with a handful of honors. After finishing college, Butler decided to take a break and travel for a year.
After his relatively short break, Butler got employed at one of Edinburgh’s top law firms only to despise the job and hate it in the long run. His yearning to be an actor was triggered when he went to the Edinburgh Film Festival and watched a stage production of Trainspotting. From there, the course of the actor’s life changed drastically.
