Brooke Shields | Romance Languages
Initially a child model, Brooke Shields gained critical acclaim when she was just 12 years old. She has played several roles in different movies. In the 1980s, Shields took part in movies like Endless Love and Blue Lagoon. While acting, she continued her modeling gig late into her teenage years.
In 1983, Shields realized she wanted to finish school, and so she attended Princeton University and graduated with a degree in Romance Languages. This course focuses on a comprehensive survey and study of Italian, Portuguese, French, Italian, and Spanish, including its linguistics, literature, and culture. What does this tell us? Shields has a profound understanding of the cultures of other nations, something that is not common in some monolingual nations. After graduating, Shields returned to acting and then appeared on Suddenly Susan, which ran from 1996 until 2000.
