Shaquille O’Neal | Doctor of Education

American retired professional basketball player Shaquille O’Neal is regarded as among the greatest basketball players and centers of all time. The 7-foot-tall hoopster played a 19-year career in six different teams in the National Basketball Association and won four championships. In his college years, O’Neal played for the LSU Tigers before getting selected by the Orlando Magic at the 1992 NBA Draft as the first overall pick. He played with the Magic for four years, then signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Lakers. And from then onward, O’Neal achieved a considerable degree of success in his professional basketball career.

Toward the end of his career, O’Neal worked on his doctorate in education at Barry University. In 2012, he received his Ed.D. degree in Human Resource Development. He then became a basketball analyst for the TNT network on its NBA games after his retirement in 2011. joining Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson.
