“Weird Al” Yankovic | Architecture
Matthew Yankovic, better known as Weird Al, is a singer, actor, and producer known for his funny music that typically parodies pop culture or other songs. A usual accompaniment in most of his songs is his trademark accordion. The singer has sold more than 12 million songs since 1976, which might not be a huge number compared to his contemporaries, but on top of his record sales, he has also appeared on more than 1,000 live shows and 150 parody songs.
Now you might think that Weird Al has formal music training, but that is not so. When he was in college, he actually studied architecture at the prestigious California Polytechnic State University. It appears the supposed-to-be architect did not make use of his diploma and instead delved right away into music-making. If he did, we can probably predict many celebrities dropping their investment money so that he could design their homes, right?
