Emmy Rossum | Art History And French

At a young age, Emmy Rossum was already showcasing the makings of a talented singer. Her earlier stints were alongside the Metropolitan Opera, which she joined when she was just seven years old. Along the way, though, she discovered another talent – acting.

After taking a couple of online classes programmed to help her finish her high school studies, Rossum concluded her years in school by graduating from Columbia University, where she studied French and Art History. Along with her time in acting school, she got her on-screen debut with a role in the 1996 TV film Grace & Glorie. While many filmgoers might recognize her for her stint on the not-so-favored Dragonball Evolution, Rossum has also done plenty of highly acclaimed projects over the years. Some titles worth noting are The Day After Tomorrow, Shameless, Beautiful Creatures, and The Phantom of the Opera.
