Lily Collins | Broadcast Journalism

Although her father is the world-famous singer Phil Collins, Lily Collins opted for a different career path.

She began her acting career before she even knew a thing or two about student loans. At two years old, she debuted with a role on the TV series Growing Pains. A few years later, Collins garnered widespread recognition thanks to her performance in the Sandra Bullock-led movie The Blind Side. Since then, she has made quite a name for herself under the spotlight, starring in subsequent projects such as Priest, Abduction, Love, Rosie, To The Bone, and Mank. Besides appearing in front of the camera, the actress has also tried her hand at other endeavors. Throughout her teens, she wrote some articles for a couple of magazines. She also covered the 2008 US presidential for Nickelodeon’s Kids Pick the President series. Good to know her time studying broadcast journalism came in handy.
