Matthew Trebek | Alex Trebek’s Son

While Alex Trebek’s children went on their separate careers, it seems that they have found success in their respective fields. Matthew is one of them. He is Trebek’s only son with his longtime wife, Jean Currivan. He was born in early 1990, which was the same year his parents tied the knot. He graduated from Fordham University back in 2013. During his fruitful time there, he worked as a bartender and credited his part-time work for spurring his later career in the restaurant business.

Today, Matthew has become a successful restaurateur. He has made investments in establishing two restaurants in the 2010s. One is a street food restaurant offering Mexican food, which opened in 2015. Another is a cocktail lounge opened in 2019. He has expressed his intention in opening more restaurants, given the success of the two. However, it would be interesting to think about what kind of management responsibilities Matthew is capable of when putting up establishments aside from restaurants.
