After securing a college degree, Illiza Shlesinger started her career after she moved to Los Angeles, where she pursued stand-up comedy. She joined the Whiteboy Comedy group, which is composed of fellow comedians within the area. Subsequently, she became the face of The Improv in Hollywood. Her career started gaining traction back in 2007 when she won Myspace’s So You Think You’re Funny. The following year, she made a breakthrough by winning NBC’s Last Comic Standing. Moreover, she eventually received credits for being the host of shows, such as Excused and Separation Anxiety.
